Truly one of the most remarkable attractions in the Shenandoah Valley are the impressive Caverns at Natural Bridge. Discovered in the 1890s, the caves were first opened to the public in 1977.

At 34 stories down, it is the deepest commercial cavern on the east coast.

Visitors to The Caverns at Natural Bridge will enter an enchanted subterranean landscape of dripstone, flowstone, draperies, pools, stalactites and stalagmites in the Colossal Dome Room, Mirror Lake, Well Room, and the Canyon Room.

Guest tours usually last around 45 minutes. Wear walking shoes.

The Caverns at Natural Bridge

Discovered late in the 19th century, the Caverns opened to the general public in 1977. Visitors will descend into the earth 34 stories down for a magnificent underground adventure.

Guided Tours

Guided tours generally last about 45 minutes and begin every 60 minutes. It is strongly recommended that you wear proper walking shoes in the cave.

Tour space is limited and fills up quickly. Please plan accordingly and arrive early.

The last tour departs at 4:00pm.
