Rumor has it..“The Inn at Forest Oaks is a hidden gem in the hills of Virginia. We were greeted by our gracious hosts Elle and Bing, who gave us a thorough tour of this magnificent historic home. Our room on the second floor – the Oatlands room – couldn’t have been more gorgeous and comfortable – it felt like we were staying in Downton Abbey! This beautiful inn is on 50 acres with a view you won’t believe. Homemade cookies, and a gourmet breakfast prepared by Bing awaited us each morning, as well as meeting the other guests traveling through the area. We all marveled at how lucky we were to find this place! Close location to Natural Bridge State Park and Lexington, where we enjoyed a horse-drawn carriage tour of the city. Highly recommend this magical inn!!”

Not only are the grounds and the mansion absolutely beautiful but the innkeepers are an absolute joy! “Forest Oaks was an absolutely magical experience. The innkeepers, Elle and Bing, were phenomenal and shared so much fascinating history about both the home and the surrounding area. Bing’s breakfasts were incredible and everything was homemade from scratch and absolutely delicious. The house was immaculately clean, and it was so refreshing to unplug without a TV and simply sit outside at night listening to the birds, crickets, and frogs while enjoying conversations with family and other guests. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the updated bathroom was wonderful. The pricing was extremely reasonable for the level of hospitality and service we received. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and cannot wait to come back!”
“Our stay at the Inn at Forest Oaks was the best BnB experience we have ever had… and we’ve stayed in many during our 40-year marriage. The hosts, Elle and Bing, are warm, welcoming and helpful on every level. And Bing prepares beautiful breakfasts. Our room and bath were beautifully appointed, luxurious, comfortable and everything worked easily! The home, throughout, looks like the manor home it was built to be in the 1800s and is in impressively pristine condition. Every room is furnished for comfort and to please the eye with their history intact. The generous windows offer uninterrupted views of the pastures, forests and mountains beyond. It is simply an idyllic setting and easy to access from I81.”
